{"id":1003,"date":"2019-01-18T02:55:43","date_gmt":"2019-01-18T02:55:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eidersuso.net\/design\/?p=1003"},"modified":"2019-02-19T02:57:21","modified_gmt":"2019-02-19T02:57:21","slug":"greg-segal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/eidersuso.net\/design\/2019\/01\/18\/greg-segal\/","title":{"rendered":"Gregg Segal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greggsegal.com\/\">Greg Segal<\/a> is an interesting photographer dealing with environmental issues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In his mission statement his intention is to \u201cmake pictures that are single frame dramas with a sense of something that has or is about to happen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He shot this interesting project called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greggsegal.com\/P-Projects\/7-Days-of-Garbage\/1\/thumbs\"><span class=\"s2\">\u201c7 days of garbage\u201d<\/span><\/a> where he photographed people surrounded by the garbage they produced in one week. As he states in his website, the \u201cportraits reveal the food we eat and garbage we create while telling a story about our health and the health of our planet.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The reason to take those pictures is also clearly stated on his website: \u201cEver since I was a kid, I\u2019ve wondered about garbage &#8211; where does it go and what happens when we run out of places to put it? The average American generates 29 pounds of garbage a week. As a nation, that amounts to about 9 billion pounds per week! (..)
